Job summary

Mi-Tech, part of the Michels Family of Companies, seeks a BIM Coordinator to lead BIM/VDC on large, complex projects, including a major data center initiative. You will serve as technical lead and project coordinator, managing models and coordinating across internal teams and external partners.

You will help build Mi-Tech’s long-term BIM capabilities—developing standards, mentoring staff, and transitioning BIM work to fully in-house execution in a fast-paced, high-impact environment with travel.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years BIM/VDC experience.
• Experience leading BIM on large construction projects, preferably data centers.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM/VDC execution on large, complex projects including a major data center initiative.
• Coordinate multi-discipline BIM models, clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution.
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants (20–30 technicians).
• Establish, maintain, and improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and BEPs.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Mentor and develop an internal BIM team and transition to fully in-house BIM execution.
