Summary

Responsible for billing Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, & supplemental claims in a timely and accurate manner. Helps generate all monthly statements and reports. Reviews statements for billing inconsistencies. Conducts research for billing updates with Medicare and Medicaid. Works on AOD aging reports for follow-up with Medicare, Medicaid, or other third-party payors. Pulls reports and remittances from fiscal intermediaries. Responds to and manages calls from residents and responsible parties regarding statements, billing, and collections. Handles imports from outside vendors accurately and timely. Collaborates with MDS at each facility to resolve HIPPS and other discrepancies. Performs month-end processes for facilities by deadlines set by the Controller. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least four years of SNF third-party liability billing experience required
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of functions and relationships within a nursing home environment preferred
• Manual dexterity and coordination for working with required equipment
• Ability to communicate detailed information verbally and visually
• Ability to read and understand written instructions

Pay range: $22.69 - $36.54 per hour
