Summary

Responsible for billing Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, & supplemental claims in a timely and accurate manner. Helps in generating all monthly statements and reports. Reviews statements for billing inconsistencies. Involved in research for billing updates with Medicare and Medicaid. Works on AOD aging reports for follow-up with Medicare, Medicaid, or any third-party payor. Pulls reports and remittances from the fiscal intermediary. Responds to and manages calls from residents and responsible parties regarding statements, billing, and collections. Handles imports from outside vendors timely and accurately. Works with MDS at each facility to resolve HIPPS discrepancies. Performs month-end processes for facilities by deadlines given by the Controller. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of four years SNF third-party liability billing experience required
• Computer skills required
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of functions and relationships of departments within a nursing home environment preferred
• Manual dexterity, coordination, and skillful use of hands for working with required equipment
• Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral communication, visual acuity
• Ability to read and understand written directions

Pay range: $22.69 - $36.54 per hour
