Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Location: Remote (Texas-based preferred; open to U.S.-based candidates)

We are hiring on behalf of a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist to lead billing functions within a high-performing, remote-first environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial health of the organization by managing billing workflows, resolving claims issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

This is a full-time, remote opportunity well-suited for a results-driven professional with a solid understanding of the end-to-end revenue cycle and a commitment to excellence in healthcare operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day billing operations, including claims submission, payment posting, and denial resolution.
• Manage the full revenue cycle process from charge entry through collections.
• Review and analyze billing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate claim submission in accordance with payer guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, coding updates, and payer requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
• Support and mentor junior billing staff; serve as an escalation point for complex billing scenarios.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records within billing software and CRM platforms.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle operations.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Strong knowledge of payer guidelines across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers.
• Experience with practice management systems and clearinghouses.
• Ability to interpret billing data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a remote work environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as CPB, CMRS, or CRCR.
• Experience working across multiple specialties or multi-state healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with denial trends and appeals processes.
• Working knowledge of Excel and billing analytics tools.
• Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Remote role (Texas-based candidates preferred; U.S. applicants encouraged to apply)

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience.
