Job summary

Capita plc is seeking a Senior Bid Writer to own storytelling and the written quality of bids from strategy through final submission. You will work within a dedicated bid team led by experienced Capture Directors in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

You’ll collaborate with Bid Managers, Capture Directors, and Solutions teams to deliver compelling narratives, ensuring consistency and excellence across all submissions while maintaining strict deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading written responses for complex, high-value bids.
• Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and shape content direction.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior contributors and SMEs.
• Excellent attention to detail under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of client-focused proposal content aligned to the win strategy.
• Storyboard responses with Capture Directors, shaping how Capita’s solution is positioned.
• Turn complex technical input into persuasive, easy-to-understand narrative.
• Own writing quality end-to-end, ensuring consistency and compliance across submissions.
• Edit, review, and refine content to a high standard under deadlines.
• Coach contributors on proposal best practice to improve bid writing capability.
