Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. This fully remote role requires expert knowledge of BESS components, control strategies, and grid interconnection, with supervision responsibilities for engineers and partners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
- Expert knowledge of BESS components, control strategies, and grid interconnection equipment.
- Experience with design, integration, and optimization of BESS systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide guidance to project teams.
- Lead design and engineering of battery energy storage systems ensuring compliance with contracts and AHJ requirements.
- Review feasibility studies and system sizing analyses to optimize BESS configurations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to design, procure, install and commission BESS systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and stay current with industry standards and safety requirements.
