Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Field Technician to operate and maintain utility-scale BESS power plants. You will monitor SCADA, perform commissioning, testing and repair of AC/DC systems, and ensure safety and documentation standards are met.

Requirements include a MA Journeyman Electrician license, 3+ years in solar O&M, and the ability to read electrical schematics. Travel and supervisory duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Utility Solar Operations & Maintenance.
• Experience with electrical systems, SCADA and controls operation.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA and perform commissioning, testing and maintenance.
• Repair and modify AC/DC systems including inverters, transformers and metering.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Lead work groups and supervise plant evolutions; coordinate on-site planning.
• Ensure safety procedures, 5S, Lockout/Tagout and job hazard analyses are followed.
• Maintain documentation, reports and CMMS entries; communicate with stakeholders.
