Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking an on-site Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) maintenance technician in Uxbridge, MA. Responsibilities include monitoring plant operations via SCADA, performing commissioning, testing, inspection, and repair of BESS components including inverters, battery packs, cooling, transformers, and switchgear.

The role requires 3+ years in utility-scale renewable energy O&M (solar and BESS), strong electrical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal

Qualifications

• Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly KPIs: energy generation vs. plan, on-time PMs, plant/equipment efficiency.
• Maintain safe work environment by enforcing protocols.
• Ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Train personnel on Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
• Perform PM work: measuring, reading, testing, and maintenance of site components.
• Lead safety/environmental training and ensure compliance.
• Communicate with stakeholders effectively and professionally.
• Coordinate on-site planning, installation, commissioning, testing.
• Prepare and enforce testing procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure all work orders are complete and documented.
