Job summary

NovaSource Power Services seeks a BESS Field Technician I in Edinburg, TX to support maintenance and operation of utility-scale BESS plants. You will monitor plant operation via SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of AC and DC systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and metering.

The role requires at least 1 year in a related position and a high school diploma; college or technical degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a related position.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BESS plant operation via SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying AC and DC BESS systems.
• Handle inverters, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems with accuracy.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and related documentation; support PM activities.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; travel as required.
