Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Benefits Consultant to manage a book of business for clients in Baton Rouge, LA. You will advise on trends in employee benefits, renewals, and plan designs, delivering value through strategic benefit solutions.

The role emphasizes client education, proactive problem-solving, and ongoing relationship management. Requirements include 5–7 years in benefits, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and a Louisiana Life & Health license (with ASAP willingness).

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in benefits including self-insured plans, ancillary lines, and current legislation.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) highly preferred.
• Louisiana Life and Health license required or willing to complete ASAP.
• Professional designations (RHU, REBC, CEBS) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand business issues and define benefit goals.
• Educate, support and act as trusted advisor to each client.
• Plan renewals and communicate emerging trends and solutions.
• Proactively address client issues and ensure timely follow-up.
