Arnold & Porter seeks a Senior Manager, Business Development Training to design and execute a firmwide training program supporting attorneys at all career stages.

The role partners with senior leaders to outline priorities, craft curricula, and deliver programs both in person and virtually across offices, including New York and Washington, DC. The position emphasizes measurable impact and ongoing refinement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in BD, marketing, or attorney development.
• Experience coaching attorneys or supporting BD plans.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and AI productivity tools.
• Expertise in instructional design and adult learning.
• Experience designing or leading training in professional services.
• Strong BD knowledge within law or professional services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate concepts clearly.
• Proven project management; multi-program oversight.
• Collaborative, consultative stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to travel to firm offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a multi-level BD curriculum with tracks for associates and partners.
• Own the annual BD training calendar across offices and formats (virtual and in-person).
• Lead onboarding training for lateral partners and associates to align them with the BD culture and expectations.
• Define success metrics and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.
