Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager focused on advancing Planet's solutions to address high-priority operational challenges for the US Army. You will own the BD lifecycle from needs discovery to contract award and coordinate with Army stakeholders to shape budgets and procurement cycles.

You will build a long-term pipeline, engage in RFIs and RFPs, and collaborate with sales and proposal teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Hybrid role based in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience working directly within the US DoW - specifically within the US Army, Combatant Commands, and/or the Intelligence Community.
• Knowledge of DoW Program Executive Offices and Portfolio Acquisition Executives, and associated OSW and Service requirement and budgetary entities.
• Direct prior engagement with Army organizations (PEO IEW&S, PEO C3N, PAE Fires, INSCOM).
• Familiarity with Army programs (TITAN, HADES, NGC2) and space-based data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities and pursue long-term strategic captures.
• Lead execution of the full BD lifecycle from needs discovery to contract award.
• Develop strategy to align Planet solutions with Army missions and budgets.
• Coordinate RFIs, White Papers, and RFP responses with Sales and Proposals teams.
• Maintain relationships with Army stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
