Job summary

Muon Space seeks a Senior Business Development Manager for DoD-focused satellite constellations. You will lead customer engagement, pipeline development and capture activities from initial contact through awarded contracts, coordinating with engineering, legal and finance to craft winning proposals.

This role requires 10+ years in aerospace/defense with BD experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 35%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in aerospace/defense with 5+ years in Business Development.
• Plan and execute with clear ownership and minimal oversight.
• Experience with USG captures and leading proposals.
• Demonstrated success capturing space business within the DoW.
• Comfortable operating in uncertainty and learning from mistakes.
• Proactive, initiative-taking and able to champion issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of time.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth for Muon Space in DoD and related DoW portfolios.
• Lead customer engagement, pipeline development and capture efforts.
• Develop cohesive strategy for target DoW/IC organizations.
• Identify opportunities and lead capture across pipeline stages.
• Create, maintain and implement customer engagement plans.
• Lead proposals and RFIs; develop win themes and pricing.
• Coordinate with engineering on technical solutions and price-to-win.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, legal and finance on opportunities.
• Provide customer input to the product roadmap.
• Support and advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
