Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Battery Engineer to own end-to-end energy storage system delivery from concept through production. You will be the main interface between the Core Battery Group and internal product teams, translating requirements and driving cell selection and design iterations.

You will bring deep hands-on experience with energy storage in defense/aerospace contexts, and navigate CAD, BMS, and safety standards to ensure reliable, scalable battery packs for advanced drone

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or physical sciences with energy storage focus.
• 10+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems.
• Ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
• Experience delivering energy storage systems from prototype to production.
• Exposure to BMS electrical design, algorithms, or validation.
• Exposure to battery cell characterization methods and modeling in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with CATIA, NX or SolidWorks CAD tools, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own End-to-End ESS delivery from concept to production on accelerated timelines.
• Serve as the main interface between Core Battery Group and internal teams.
• Translate user stories and CONOPs into ESS requirements.
• Lead battery cell selection using de-risking and validation processes.
• Deliver design revisions with mechanical engineers across testing and prototyping.
• Support manufacturing ramp with DFMEAs and validation plans.
• Hands-on battery bring-up, test, and vehicle integration.
• Analyze fielded ESS for root causes and drive design updates.
