Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Senior Battery Engineer to own end-to-end energy storage system development for drone platforms, from concept through production. You will lead cell selection, pack design, validation, and manufacturing ramp, collaborating with mechanical engineers and internal product teams.

You should have 5+ years in energy storage, ownership of battery pack design, and experience with BMS or cell modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or sciences field with energy storage focus.
• 5+ years designing, testing and troubleshooting energy storage systems.
• Ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
• Experience delivering battery systems from prototype to production.
• Awareness of BMS design, validation and cell characterization methods.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and battery safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ESS delivery from concept to production with DFx considerations.
• Serve as the core interface between Core Battery Group and product teams.
• Translate user stories into actionable ESS requirements.
• Lead cell selection using accelerated de-risking and validation.
• Lead design iterations with mechanical engineers across packs and modules.
• Support manufacturing ramp with validation and DFMEAs.
• Hands-on battery bring-up, test, and vehicle integration.
• Perform root-cause analysis on fielded ESSs and implement countermeasures.
