Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Battery Engineer to own end‑to‑end energy storage system delivery from concept through production for advanced drone platforms. You will bridge the Core Battery Group with internal product teams, drive cell selection, and lead design iterations with mechanical engineers to ensure scalable, reliable packs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or physical sciences with energy storage focus; 5+ years in design, testing, troubleshooting ESS.
• Experience owning battery pack design and prototype assembly.
• Delivery of high‑performance ESS with strong technical ownership.
• Experience moving ESS from prototype to production.
• Knowledge of BMS design/validation or cell characterization methods.
• CAD experience with CATIA/NX/SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as UN38.3/NAVSEA S9310 (or UL/IEC).

Responsibilities

• Own End-to-End ESS Delivery from concept to production under tight timelines.
• Serve as main interface between Core Battery Group and product teams.
• Translate user stories/CONOPs into ESS requirements.
• Lead cell selection with accelerated de‑risking and validation.
• Lead design iterations with mechanical team for testing and production packs.
• Support manufacturing ramp with DFMEA and reliability verification.
• Hands‑on battery bring‑up, test, debug, and vehicle integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis on fielded ESS and drive improvements.
