Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Battery Engineer to drive end-to-end energy storage system development for next-generation drone products. You will own battery packs from cell selection to production, interfacing between the Core Battery Group and internal product teams, translating concepts into actionable ESS requirements and delivering on performance, cost, and reliability targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years in energy storage design, testing, and troubleshooting.
Ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
Contributions delivering energy storage systems from prototype to production.
Awareness of BMS design, algorithms, and validation requirements.
Familiarity with battery cell characterization and Matlab/Simulink modeling.

Responsibilities

Own End-to-End ESS delivery from concept to production on accelerated timelines.
Serve as main interface between Core Battery Group and internal product teams.
Define ESS requirements from user stories/CONOPs.
Lead battery cell selection with de-risking and validation.
Collaborate on design iterations with mechanical engineering for packs.
Support manufacturing ramp and validation across DFMEAs.
Hands-on battery bring-up, test, and vehicle integration.
Perform root-cause analysis on fielded ESSs and drive updates.
