Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III for the design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. This role provides strategic direction, technical expertise, and engineering oversight to ensure delivery meets performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

The position is fully remote with discussions on location during interviews. Travel to project sites may be required to support execution and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Experience focused on BESS, renewables, or power systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and guide project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS ensuring contract, utility, and AHJ compliance.
• Review feasibility studies and sizing analyses for optimal BESS configurations.
• Mentor Engineers of Record and third-party partners to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJs as needed.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and procurement support.
