Job summary

Levy, a market-leading hospitality company within Compass Group USA, seeks a Director of Banquets in Los Angeles. You will shape strategy, lead execution across multiple event spaces, and drive revenue growth through high-touch service and operational excellence.

You will mentor banquet managers and teams, partner with Sales and Culinary to flawlessly plan large-scale events, manage labor forecasting and cost controls, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and union agreements while

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in banquet or catering management, preferably in a convention center or high-volume environment.
• Experience managing large teams and multi-day events.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for banquet operations across multiple event spaces.
• Lead, mentor, and develop banquet managers, captains, and service teams.
• Partner with sales and culinary teams to ensure seamless planning and execution of events.
• Oversee scheduling, labor forecasting, and cost control to align with event needs and budget goals.
• Monitor event execution, guest satisfaction, and post-event feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Effectively manage union labor in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
