Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Banquet Chef for a premier event catering company in Randburg, Gauteng. You will oversee the culinary execution of high-profile banquets and events, leading a kitchen team during peak service, and collaborating with Head Chef and events management to craft exquisite menus.

This role requires 5+ years in banquet or high-volume settings, strong knowledge of food costing and HACCP, and exceptional leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the kitchen team during banquet service, ensuring efficient preparation and plating of all dishes.
• Develop and execute high-quality banquet menus in collaboration with the Head Chef and catering management.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all banquet events.
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and receiving to control costs and maintain freshness.
• Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet kitchens and service areas.
• Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to understand specific client requirements and dietary needs.
• Monitor food production to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during banquet preparation and service.
