This role demands a leader with exceptional organizational skills, a refined understanding of hospitality, and a proven ability to manage complex events from conception to completion. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team to deliver flawless service for a wide array of functions, including corporate events, weddings, and private celebrations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creating memorable guest experiences and a meticulous approach to detail, ensuring our client's reputation for excellence is maintained and enhanced in the Randburg area.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet and catering operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and presentation.
• Manage, train, and motivate the banquet staff, fostering a high-performance and guest-focused team culture.

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in banquet management or event operations within a high-volume hospitality setting.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and diverse teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, menu planning, and event logistics.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the demands of the events calendar.
• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
• Must be based in or willing to commute to Randburg .
• A relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.
