Our client, a renowned luxury hotel group, is seeking a skilled Banqueting Chef to oversee all banquet and event menus, ensuring exceptional culinary quality and presentation for weddings, conferences, and corporate events at the Paarl property.

With at least 3 years in banqueting or high-volume catering, candidates should show strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills, and a solid taste for service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Banqueting Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie in a hotel or high-volume catering environment.
• Culinary qualification is an advantage.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Paarl, Western Cape area.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes for banquets, conferences, and events according to established standards.
• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and costing for all banquet functions.
• Ensure consistency in food preparation, taste, and presentation across all events.
• Manage the banqueting kitchen operations, including inventory control and staff supervision.
• Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards in the banqueting kitchen.
• Collaborate with the Banqueting Manager and service team to ensure seamless event execution.
• Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants working in the banqueting section.
• Control food costs and minimize waste within the banqueting operations.
• Implement new culinary ideas and techniques to enhance the banquet offering.
