Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join the Coinbase One team.

You will own the backend systems that power the membership lifecycle, from sign-up and payment processing to benefit delivery and targeted promotions, directly driving subscriber growth and retention for millions of customers. You will collaborate with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to scope, ship, and iterate on customer-facing membership features from concept through production, while

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with a track record of shipping and operating production services at scale.
• Experience building subscription, payments, or commerce systems, including recurring billing, entitlements, or promotional logic.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar backend language (Java, C++, Rust) with demonstrated ability to adapt to a Go-centric codebase.
• Proven ability to design and maintain APIs and distributed systems that integrate across multiple product surfaces (web and mobile).
• Track record of taking ambiguous projects from scoping through production with minimal oversight, including cross-functional collaboration with product and design partners.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Build scalable platform capabilities that enable targeted benefit delivery, promotional incentives, and personalized membership experiences across the Coinbase retail application.
