Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join the Coinbase One team. You will own backend systems powering the membership lifecycle, from sign-up and payments to benefit delivery and promos, driving subscriber growth and retention for millions of customers.

You will collaborate with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to ship features, influence architecture, and improve reliability and performance across the backend stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience in subscription, payments, or commerce systems.
• Proficiency in Go or similar backend language; adapt to Go-centric codebase.
• Design and maintain APIs and distributed systems across product surfaces.
• Experience taking ambiguous projects from scoping to production with cross-functional teams.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
