Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience shipping and operating production services at scale.
• Experience building subscription, payments, or commerce systems with recurring billing entitlements or promotions.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar backend language with ability to adapt to a Go-centric codebase.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed systems across web and mobile surfaces.
• Strong record of leading ambi tious projects from scoping to production with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Own backend services powering the Coinbase One membership lifecycle, including sign-up flows and recurring payments.
• Build scalable platform capabilities for targeted benefits and personalized experiences across Coinbase retail apps.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to scope, ship, and iterate features from concept to production.
• Drive backend architecture decisions for reliability, extensibility, and integration with Coinbase platform services.
• Improve service reliability, observability, and performance across Coinbase One's backend stack.
