Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend for the Coinbase One team within the Consumer & Business group.

You will own the backend systems powering the membership lifecycle, from sign-up and payment processing to benefit delivery and targeted promotions for millions of customers. You will collaborate with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to scope, ship, and iterate on membership features, drive architecture decisions, and improve reliability and performance

Qualifications

5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Experience building subscription, payments, or commerce systems.
Proficiency in Go or a similar backend language (Java, C++, Rust).
Design and maintenance of APIs and distributed systems across product surfaces.
Cross-functional collaboration with product and design partners.
Responsible use of Generative AI to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Own backend services powering the Coinbase One membership lifecycle.
Build scalable platform capabilities for benefit delivery and promotions.
Partner with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to ship features from concept to production.
