Resend is building a modern email sending platform for developers, with a fully remote team spanning Americas and Europe. You’ll own features end-to-end, build reliable distributed systems, and scale APIs and databases to handle traffic growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in production backend services.
• Experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Ability to design systems from scratch and rollout plans.
• Understand cloud infrastructure, observability, deployments, and debugging production issues.
• Experience designing APIs and relational data models, diagnosing slow queries, and safe DB changes.
• Experience managing production infrastructure with infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
• Excellent written and spoken English with Americas overlap.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from ideation to APIs and dashboards.
• Build reliable distributed systems with queues and background workers.
• Scale APIs and databases for growing usage.
• Operate what you build with monitoring and safe deployments (on-call).
• Collaborate with support and customers to turn problems into improvements.
• Improve engineering quality with better tests, tooling, and systems.
