Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust server-side logic and APIs powering the platform.

You will work with a distributed team, applying best practices in scalable architectures, cloud environments, database design, and secure software delivery to ensure high performance and reliability in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) experience.
• Knowledge of microservices and RESTful API design.
• Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in remote agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries for performance.
• Integrate server-side logic with front-end components.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and standards.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into specs.
