Job summary

Rahal is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement advanced solutions for our Travel platform, improving customer satisfaction and operations. You will contribute to the core backend, craft scalable services, and participate in architecture discussions.

You will work in a fully remote capacity with a focus on JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS/NestJS, Docker, and AWS, applying Agile practices and strong SDLC knowledge to deliver robust backend systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of fully remote work with self-management and accountability.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS/NestJS skills.
• Solid understanding of scalable web app architecture and design principles.
• Experience with Docker and AWS; knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable, clean, tested, secure, and well-documented backend solutions.
• Assist partners in integrating with published APIs.
• Document findings and plans to establish reporting and communication standards.
• Translate product requirements into technical plans and SRS.
• Mentor teammates and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards.
