Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Node.js/Nest.js) for a long-term, fully remote role. You will build scalable web applications, collaborate with backend engineers and designers, and own backend services from design to deployment.

Strong expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, REST/GraphQL, and TypeScript is required, with experience in relational and NoSQL databases and testing. CET timezone constraint applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Node.js
• 3+ years with Nest.js
• Proven experience building REST and GraphQL APIs
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB)
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2)
• Experience with unit/integration testing (Jest, Mocha)
• Git and version control workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend applications using Node.js and Nest.js.
• Implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and microservices architectures.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases and external services via APIs.
• Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
