Alt Platform Inc. is building the backbone of a high-value marketplace for alternative assets, starting with a multi-rail payments and settlement system.

You will own the ledger, money movement, and reconciliation that drive every trade and payout, ensuring accuracy and auditable state transitions across complex rails. The role demands deep backend expertise, a track record with real money movements, and a pragmatic, product-minded approach to delivering a correct, scalable system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend experience with Python, Postgres and AWS.
• Experience with real money movement, double-entry ledger, and reconciliation.
• Strong SQL skills and API-centric design (webhooks, idempotency, eventual consistency).
• Understanding of marketplace/ two-sided flow and risk considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own Alt's ledger as the system of record with immutability and audit trails.
• Design and maintain money movement rails (ACH, wires, instant) and settlement logic.
• Orchestrate payouts, reconciliation, and robust error handling.
• Build scalable lending infrastructure and multi-PSP provider architecture.
• Lead with correctness, code reviews, documentation, and mentoring.
