Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Colorado to design, build, and deploy resilient backend services and data pipelines. You will lead by example, champion DevSecOps practices, and raise the technical bar through peer reviews.

The role emphasizes Python backend work, Docker/Kubernetes containerization, CI/CD automation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready increments.

Qualifications

• Active or current Top-Secret clearance.
• 15+ years of production backend software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python backend development and Bash scripting.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm).
• Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend services and APIs using Python.
• Implement integration layers across distributed services and data streams.
• Develop comprehensive automated test suites (unit, integration, regression).
• Profile resources and optimize performance across the stack.
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy via Kubernetes (Helm).
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to break down requirements into production increments.
