Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Junior Software Engineer in the United States with 2+ years of backend experience to join a multi-team agile program. You will work with senior engineers to develop, test, and maintain backend services, data workflows, and system interfaces that support mission-critical capabilities.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid foundational skills who wants to expand expertise in modern backend systems, containerized cloud environments, and DevSecOps best practices

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend applications or scripts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid Python and Bash scripting foundations with task automation.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching concepts (Redis).
• Familiarity with Dockerfiles and Kubernetes basics; Git in CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, scripts, and endpoints using Python.
• Assist in data connectors, API endpoints, and messaging interfaces for reliable data flow.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; improve coverage.
• Investigate, reproduce, and fix defects under guidance of seniors.
• Package code into Docker containers and deploy to Kubernetes test clusters via Helm/CI-CD.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and apply feedback from peers.
