Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Junior Software Engineer in Virginia to join a multi-team agile program. You will work with senior engineers to build and maintain backend services, data workflows, and system interfaces for mission‑critical capabilities.

You should have 2+ years of experience, solid Python skills, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git in a CI/CD environment. Expect hands-on development, testing, and ongoing learning in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend applications or scripts.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid Python programming fundamentals and Bash scripting basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, scripts, and endpoints using Python.
• Assist in implementing data connectors, API endpoints, and messaging interfaces for reliable data flow.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to validate code functionality and test coverage.
• Investigate, reproduce, and fix software defects under senior guidance.
• Package code into Docker containers and deploy with Kubernetes test clusters using Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and apply feedback from peers.
