Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Software Engineer with 5+ years of backend experience to join our multi-team agile program in the United States. You will design and deploy reliable Python services, data pipelines, and core components supporting mission-critical capabilities.

As an individual contributor, you will own features through the full software lifecycle—from design and coding to automated testing, containerized deployments, and production support. A TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active or current Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong, hands-on proficiency with Python and Bash scripting for automation and system operations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage, caching, or messaging.
• Proficiency with Docker and deploying workloads in Kubernetes using Helm.
• Git collaboration workflows; integrating CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Ability to independently deliver user stories and work with existing codebases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build interfaces and data contracts connecting distributed services and external systems.
• Author automated unit, integration, and regression tests and troubleshoot defects.
• Profile application execution, database queries, and data workflows to optimize latency and throughput.
• Package applications with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes using Helm in CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and peer code reviews.
