Job summary

GRVTY in the United States seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy resilient backend services and data pipelines powering a large-scale program. You will contribute as a hands-on senior IC, writing clean code, guiding system design, and upholding DevSecOps practices across teams.

Strong Python and Bash skills, plus PostgreSQL/Redis experience, are required. A Top-Secret clearance is required for this role, with opportunities to advance within a mission-focused engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
• 15+ years of software engineering experience delivering production backend systems
• Active Top-Secret clearance
• Strong Python backend experience and Bash scripting
• Deep PostgreSQL experience and Redis for state management

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python
• Implement data interfaces and event-driven data streams across distributed services
• Create comprehensive automated tests (unit/integration) and diagnose defects
• Profile and optimize performance; reduce latency and improve scalability
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes with Helm
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into production increments
