Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS experience, Python/Go coding, and strong Linux expertise to build robust cloud components and integrate open-source software. The role expects autonomous problem-solving in a hybrid environment with some on-site days in Columbia, MD or San Antonio, TX.

The candidate should be a systems integrator skilled in infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and container tooling, ready to work toward strategic goals set by Architects.

Qualifications

• Active US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• 5+ years in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Go) with a related degree; OR 3 years with Masters; OR 9 years with HS.
• Experience with OS deployment and orchestration (kickstart, ansible, puppet, etc).
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (vendor flavor).
• Experience with container build tooling (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes automation tools (Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD).
• Programming in Python or Go.
• Strong Linux knowledge; shell scripting.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Hybrid work ability; 1-2 days/week in Columbia, MD or San Antonio; travel 3-4 days every 3 months if in Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Strong systems integrator with focus on enhancing and hardening existing code base.
• Experience with infrastructure as code to define, build and manage virtual cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities from prototype to production.
• Other duties as assigned.
