Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable backend services powering a large-scale program. You will work hands-on across pipelines, data contracts, and event streams, driving system resilience and maintainability.

You will lead by example, writing clean code, reviewing peers, and enhancing CI/CD with security and automated testing. A Top-Secret clearance and 15+ years of backend experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Active or current Top-Secret clearance.
• Deep production-level experience in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong PostgreSQL and Redis experience for state management and data access.
• Proven multi-stage Docker image builds and Kubernetes/Helm deployments.
• Familiar with Git workflows and CI/CD security and quality gates.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• 15+ years delivering production backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Implement cross-service interfaces and integration layers across data streams.
• Create automated tests ensuring data accuracy and resilience.
• Profile and optimize resource usage to reduce latency and scale.
• Containerize services with Docker; manage Kubernetes deployments via Helm.
• Collaborate with agile teams and stakeholders to deliver production-ready increments.
