Job summary

GRVTY seeks a Software Engineer with 5+ years of backend experience to build, integrate, and deploy reliable backend services, data pipelines, and core software components. You will own features end-to-end, from design and coding to automated testing, containerization, and production support.

You’ll package applications with Docker, deploy to Kubernetes with Helm, and work in CI/CD pipelines. A TS clearance and a STEM degree are required, with a focus on secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Active or current TS security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis for data management.
• Containerizing apps with Docker and deploying in Kubernetes (Helm).
• Git workflows and CI/CD integration with testing and security checks.
• Ability to deliver user stories in a complex codebase.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Python.
• Build reliable interfaces and data contracts between distributed services.
• Develop automated tests and ensure system resilience and data fidelity.
• Profile queries and workflows to optimize latency and throughput.
• Package apps with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes via Helm in CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, and code reviews; translate stories into production increments.
