Job summary

Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to own complex backend workstreams powering patient scheduling, care coordination and clinical records across the network. You will design robust AI-enabled system prompts, build reliable data pipelines with Databricks, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable services in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.
• Track record of leading technical work across a team.

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to understand and automate workflows
• Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own
