Job summary

Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, seeks a Sr Software Engineer to own complex workstreams and drive technical decisions in a healthcare setting. You will mentor engineers, design robust data models, and ensure reliable, maintainable software that evolves with patient care needs.

You will partner with product teams and stakeholders to automate workflows, build ingestion pipelines with Databricks, and own end-to-end service domains, including contracts and data models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Track record of leading technical work across a team.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to automate workflows.
• Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor engineers.
• Ensure test coverage, observability, and production health of services.
