CVS Health's Oak Street Health engineering team is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to own complex workstreams in healthcare software that supports scheduling, care coordination, and data integrations.

You will mentor engineers, set technical standards, and ensure reliable, scalable design with healthcare implications. Experience with AI prompts, Databricks, MongoDB, and cloud deployments preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.
• Track record of leading technical work across a team - not just executing it.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to understand and automate workflows.
• Design and implement robust file‑ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own.
