Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based cybersecurity solutions. You will build distributed systems, implement microservices, and design event-driven architectures for scalable endpoint management.

You will work with Go/Python/Java, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and observability tools, while collaborating across teams. This role offers 100% remote work from anywhere in the US with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience.
• Experience building backend modules for distributed systems using microservices, containers, and message queues.
• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions using major cloud platforms and IaC tools.
• Experience building REST or equivalent APIs with authentication/authorization and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java with production-grade development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end software systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
• Create and implement distributed systems architecture for endpoint management platforms.
• Participate in strategic technical initiatives focusing on sensor telemetry and system debuggability.
• Create and maintain high-performance cloud infrastructure components and ensure reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Implement microservices architecture for scalability.
• Design event driven systems using modern messaging patterns.
• Contribute to best practices for software architecture.
• Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time from anywhere within the US.
