Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and sustain cloud-based cybersecurity solutions. You will build distributed microservices, implement event-driven patterns, and ensure robust telemetry and debuggability.

Telecommuting is allowed 100% from anywhere in the US, with a strong focus on collaboration and code quality. The role requires deep experience with Go/Python/Java, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and modern APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent plus 5 years of related experience.
• Experience building backend modules for distributed systems with microservices, containers, queues, and service mesh.
• Experience with major cloud platforms and IaC, auto-scaling, CI/CD, multi-region deployments.
• Proficient with databases and search tech (Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
• Experience building REST APIs with authentication, versioning, and OpenAPI docs.
• Strong Go/Python/Java backend development and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
• Develop distributed architectures and event-driven microservices for scalability.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate frontend and backend solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance.
