Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based cybersecurity software. You will build distributed systems, implement event-driven and microservices architectures, and drive telemetry and debuggability initiatives.

The role involves collaborating across teams, implementing scalable APIs, and ensuring secure, high-performance infrastructure. Telecommuting is 100% allowed from anywhere in the US.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend modules for distributed systems using microservices, containerization, messaging queues, and service mesh patterns.
• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC and multi-region deployments.
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, Postgres, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch for analytics and storage.
• Experience building REST or equivalent APIs with proper authentication, versioning, and OpenAPI/Swagger docs.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java with production-grade development and concurrency patterns.
• Strong debugging using distributed tracing, log aggregation, and monitoring tools.
• Collaborative coding with code reviews and pull requests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
• Create and implement distributed systems architecture for endpoint management platforms.
• Participate in strategic technical initiatives focusing on sensor telemetry and system debuggability.
• Create and maintain high-performance cloud infrastructure components with monitoring and testing.
• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Implement microservices architecture for scalability.
• Design event driven systems using modern messaging patterns.
• Contribute to best practices for software architecture.
• Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time from anywhere within the US.
