Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and maintain cloud-based cybersecurity solutions built on distributed systems. You will implement microservices, event-driven patterns, and robust telemetry across AWS/Azure/GCP.

The role supports 100% remote work within the United States, with a focus on scalable, secure architectures. Required expertise includes Go, Python, or Java, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and API security.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend modules for distributed systems with microservices.
• Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, service mesh patterns.
• Cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC delivery.
• Expertise in RDS/Lambda/S3 and multi-region setup.
• Proficient in Go, Python or Java with performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis, Postgres and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, JWT/OAuth, OpenAPI, and API versioning.
• Strong debugging, tracing (Jaeger/Zipkin), and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).
• Collaborative, participates in code reviews and PRs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for cloud cybersecurity solutions.
• Build distributed architectures for endpoint management platforms.
• Lead sensor telemetry and system debuggability initiatives.
• Create reliable cloud infra components with monitoring and testing.
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate across teams.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Implement microservices for scalable solutions.
• Design event-driven systems with modern messaging patterns.
• Contribute to best practices in software architecture.
• Telecommuting is permitted 100% from anywhere in the US.
