Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based cybersecurity solutions. You will build distributed systems, implement microservices, and design event-driven architectures to ensure scalable, reliable platform performance.

Role requires expertise in Go/Python/Java, cloud IaC, containerization, and modern messaging. Telecommuting is allowed 100% within the US, with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Expertise in containerization, message queues, and service mesh patterns.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) with IaC and multi-region deployments.
• Strong database and search tech: Redis, Postgres, Kafka, Elastic/OpenSearch.
• API design and security: REST, JWT, OAuth, OpenAPI documentation.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java with performance optimization.
• Proficient in tracing, logging, monitoring, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
• Build distributed architectures and endpoint management platforms.
• Contribute to sensor telemetry, debuggability, and performance improvements.
• Develop high-performance cloud infrastructure components with reliability metrics.
• Investigate root causes and collaborate with teams to integrate frontend/backend.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Implement microservices architecture for scalability.
• Design event-driven systems using modern messaging patterns.
• Contribute to best practices in software architecture.
• Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time from anywhere within the US.
