Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a backend-focused software engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native security systems. You will build distributed services, implement microservices and event-driven patterns, and ensure high reliability across multi-region deployments.

The role emphasizes Go/Python/Java proficiency, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern observability with Jaeger, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana. This remote opportunity allows work from anywhere in the US with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend modules for distributed systems using microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and service mesh patterns.
• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), auto-scaling and CI/CD.
• Experience with Redis caching, Kafka event streaming, Postgres transactional data, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch for analytics.
• Experience building REST APIs with Spring Boot/Gin, JWT/OAuth auth, API versioning, rate limiting, and OpenAPI/Swagger docs.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java with concurrent, production-grade backend development and performance optimization.
• Strong debugging with distributed tracing (Jaeger/Zipkin), ELK stack, Prometheus/Grafana, and cross-service RCA.
• Experience collaborating in code reviews and managing pull requests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend modules for distributed systems using microservices and containers.
• Create distributed architectures for cloud-based security solutions and endpoint management platforms.
• Lead initiatives on sensor telemetry, system observability, and debuggability across services.
• Build and maintain high-performance cloud infrastructure components with reliable monitoring and testing.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical issues and coordinate frontend/backend integration.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to teammates.
• Implement event-driven architectures and scalable microservices patterns.
