Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Sr Software Engineer to own complex workstreams across healthcare software platforms. You will design robust system prompts, automate workflows with product teams, and implement data pipelines using Databricks.

You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, drive code quality, and ensure observability and reliability of services in a healthcare environment with impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.
Track record of leading technical work across a team.
Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
Partner with product teams to automate workflows.
Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor engineers.
Ensure test coverage, observability, and production health of services.
