Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own complex backend workstreams, drive technical decisions, and mentor engineers in a healthcare environment where quality directly impacts patient care.

You will design robust data models, implement pipelines with Databricks, and ensure test coverage, observability and production health while partnering with product teams and business stakeholders to automate workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with document stores (MongoDB).
• Track record leading technical work across a team.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
• Partner with product teams to automate workflows.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Databricks.
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end including data model & contracts.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, mentor engineers.
• Ensure test coverage, observability, and production health.
